Hey everyone, so first of all I am super excited to be going to Africa with yall! I am super excited to see what God has planned for us! I thought it would be fun if we all posted something about oursevles so we can get to know eachother a little better! so….

Im Jen!  I am nineteen! And will actually be turning twenty a couple weeks into our trip! I am from Houston, Texas, but live in North Carolina and attend Gardner-Webb University!  I am a missions studies major and am loving every second of it! I love to bake and cook, it is one of my main passions. I also love music! I sing and play guitar(not very well!)  I also love to write, love pretty much anything thats artsy!

I actually have two families, which is more than I could have ever asked for! I was adopted when I was one day old, and when I turned eighteen I found my birthfamily! In the family I grew up with I have two amazing, God seeking parents and a sixteen year old little brother, Matthew who was adopted from Korea! In my birthfamily I have three wonderful sibblings, Tiffanie 24, Sammie, 20 and LJ 18. I have enjoyed getting to know them over the past year and a half, it has been such a blessing!

God called me to full time missions on a mission trip to Scotland a few years ago. At that point I loved doing missions during the summer, but I never planned for it to be my entire life. I was not happy when God revealed his plan for me. However, with time, God beautifully broke my heart for missions and there is nothing else I would rather be doing with my life! As of right now, I am not quite sure what full time missions means, but I know God will direct me in his time!  When I graduated high-school, I expected to go on missions right away, and was thrilled, however God pulled me back and called me to go to college first. Again, I was not happy, but now I am so glad I listened. I have made incredible friends and have grown in Him so much! I have still been struggling with being in a classroom/office setting, and asked God if I could have a break, and finally he awnsered me and is letting me go to Africa this spring!

I feel so blessed to be a member of this team, and yall are constantly in my prayers, and I am so excited to get to know every one of you and grow with yall in Christ! This is going to be a beautiful journey!  I can not wait to learn more about yall!
God Bless,
Jen
